More from Garry Phillips our resident down under nutter and full time new route machine with news of more action in big scary and improbable places....see attached photo... I'll try to get some names and grades for you all as soon as possible.... He writes: 23/10 - 'Check out my new project 8 pitches, its the green line Ive almost finished it: its taken me 8 days to equip it and is full on hard work! The red line is the one i did earlier this year. And then it seems like he's ticked it off a few days later: 27/10 - Been down at that big scary cliff at Mt Brown with a camera crew. Totally wasted its like a job. I start at 7am and get home between 9 and 11pm for last few nights. We jumar out in dark its nuts! And then drive home trying not to squash any wild life (mainly kangaroos and possums)! I'll also send the shots through shortly on the big multi pitch new route, when I get them from the people who took them. Those two routes of mine were and are the only two on the face, every one else seems scared!!! In one week my friend and I are heading into the mountains to try our multi pitch 8a+ (5 pitches) its once again crazy. I wish you could see this place its on a world class scale with no people we have so much rock it goes for miles! In January I’m off to NZ as well with a series of belayers to do some big alpine rock walls (hopefully onsight) this I can't wait for. That place has so much rock as well! See ya soon, Garry"
