 A view of the twin....

Brandon Pullan - Mixed fortunes this Spring

21/06/2008

Hi Richie,

Hows the spring going? Hope the weather hasnt been too bad.Things got off to a great start here climbing routes such as Mix Meister 5.11, 800m up the east face of Lodder Peak. As well as Premature 5.9, 500m on Ha Ling, Spring Fever 350m, 5.11a on Yamnuska and an attempt on the North Face of Mt. Temple. I have also sent two 5.12d's I had tried last fall, I was stoked!

On a recent day out, about a month ago, I slipped while descending from the NE Face of Ha Ling (5.7, 600m) and gave myself a Type 2 MCL tear. The popping sound that my knee made was awful! Since then I have been laid up, resting it. The doctor says about another week before I can get back on it. For the first while it was fine because it was snowing and raining, but with the warm weather I am getting ansy.

July/August is going to be a great month here, the conditions are going to be perfect. We were in scoping out a new line on The North Face of the The North Twin. Having only a few ascents and being one of the most difficult alpine faces in North America we are getting excited. Ive attached a photo of the face . Keep it on the down low, dont want anyone running in there before us, haha.

Talk Soon, Brandon Pullan
