Daisy Chains

For walls and thats nearly all...

Designed primarily for aid-climbing our 13 pocket daisys are a must for all big wall aspirants and come in two materials to suit all purposes and pockets.

The Dyneema is lighter, thinner and probably easier to use overall but the Nylon will have a slightly more robust feel for those of a nervous disposition...Both these daisys have a thirteen pocket design and feature a twist at the belt end enabling it to sit correctly on when threaded through a harness waistbelt.

Once again the choice is between Nylon and Dyneema – between extra weight and longevity and lightness and less bulk – the decision is yours….

The 16mm Nylon Daisy chain gives great strength and re-assurance....

Essential Safety Note

It is especially important to note that the Daisy Chain is specifically an aid climbing tool and is designed for static loads only. The pocket strength of the Daisy Chain is very low because of this - only 2kn - therefore it is essential to note:

A. Daisy Chains should never be used as a belay equalisation tool by the use of the pockets. A shock load could easily ‘pop’ a pocket leading to a chain reaction of critical loading.

B. Daisy Chains should never be used as a sling unless it is between the two end pockets only.

Please make sure you read and follow the instructions carefully....

A really good alternative for equalising belays rather than the Daisy Chain is our popular 10mm Dyneema Cordelette
