Ben De Corme

A cool guy and a great motivator Ben, or Ben De Corme as he's known operate on the north west tip of Spain surrounded by bags of granite!

Ben has one of the strangest climbing stories i've ever heard...even stranger if you read how he wrote it trying to translate it for me...Ben actually just started climbing one day about 12 years ago on the beach near his home. He hadn't seen anyone climb before and just set off to climb an 'inviting looking' crack or una puta fisura as he put it!

From there he was hoked and graduated from bare feet to trainers then after around 3 years met someone who owned rock shoes!!! That when his new life began.

Learning more and more about climbing and being the world's keenest man Ben started to meet a few more people and open up lots of areas on the Galician coast around his home in Corme. After a while with the dawning of the internet and his Blog lots of people have found about about Ben and his boulders and he's started to realise he's pretty good making first ascents up to 8a+.

Mighty keen, mighty motivated with mighty biceps and so friendly it's untrue, Ben's a great addition to our new Spanish team wearing Wild Country and Red Chili!
